Local Churches

Dundee University Christian Union is committed to working in service of and in partnership with the local church in order to reach the campus for Christ.

The Christian Union is a mission team and not a church. We would therefore encourage all CU members to become involved in local church. In the first semester of each year we organise a ‘church crawl’. Each week freshers meet together on campus and are taken to a different church to give them a chance to experience different churches and help them decide where God can use them most. Some of the local churches are shown before. For more information go to their websites.

Logie & St John’s Church

Website: http://www.logies.org
Minister: David Scott

Logie & St John’s Church is an evangelical Church of Scotland congregation, who seek to “glorify God by growing in grace & Christ-like character and by seeking to bring others to know Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord”. Our vision is to be a Christ-centred, Bible-based, prayerful fellowship characterised by:

  • a growing knowledge of God
  • real and accountable relationships with each other
  • vital friendships with others

St Peters’s Free Church

Website: http://www.stpeters-dundee.org.uk
Minister: David Robertson

St Peter's Free Church is committed to reaching the community of Dundee with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are committed to equipping our members for the work of ministry in each of their various contexts so that they can be part of Christ's mission to make disciples in Dundee. We do this by being unashamedly a bible centred church seeking to let Gods word renew our minds and hearts through preaching, training and various other contexts of word ministry.

We will be meeting in the university Chaplaincy centre until November when we move back into our own building on the Perth road.

Our services are:
Sunday Morning: 11:00am
Sunday Evening: 6:00pm
Mid week prayer meeting: Wed 7:30pm

Central Baptist Church

Website: http://www.cbcdundee.org.uk
Minister: Jim Turrent

Central Baptist Church exists to worship God in a way that pleases Him and be a prayerful, loving, encouraging, outward looking, forward thinking central church fully committed to sharing God’s love with all people. Our ongoing goals are to enrich worship for all, enjoy fellowship with all, and to engage in mission to all. We meet together on Sundays at 11am and 6.30pm.

City Church

Website: http://www.citychurchdundee.org/
Minister: Craig Stocks

City Church is part of the Newfrontiers family of churches. Our vision is to be “centred on Christ, welcoming to all, relational and missional”. We are a mixture of people of all ages and backgrounds. We emphasise the importance of declaring the greatness of our God in praise and worship, preaching the word of God and hearing his voice through gifts of the Spirit. We meet together on Sundays at 10.30am at the Abertay University Students Union.

Steeple Church

Website: http://www.thesteeplechurch.org.uk/
Minister: David Clark

Dundee is rightly known as ‘the city of discovery’. As a church we also embrace this vision as we seek to discover God’s love and truth for us. We want to discover God’s purpose for us in a city community as well as discovering God’s leading in our personal lives. We are learning what it means to follow Jesus and we are doing so thoughtfully, prayerfully, and joyfully. We meet together on Sundays at 10.30am.

The Gate

Website: http://www.the-gate.org.uk/
Minister: Gordon Stewart

The Gate Church International is a passionate and vibrant church in the west end of Dundee close to the city centre and University campus. We have a vision for growth and an emphasis on worship, reading God’s word, prayer and family. We meet together on Sunday mornings at 11am.
